App Rejection Fix Pack · Guide
My app was rejected on Google Play. How do I find the reason and fix it?
Start with the rejection email and the policy status page in Play Console, which name the policy and often the issue and app version involved. Common causes are a missing or unreachable privacy policy, a Data safety form that does not match what the app collects, sensitive permissions without a matching declaration, and misleading store listing details. Fix the named issue in a new release or listing update, and appeal only if you believe the decision is wrong.
Steps to fix a Play rejection
- Read the notice in Play Console. Open the email and the policy status section of Play Console. Note the policy name, the version codes affected and any screenshots or examples the notice includes.
- Read the cited policy page. Open the matching page in the Developer Policy Center and read the full requirement. The notice is often short, and the policy page explains what compliance looks like.
- Check the Data safety form. Compare your Data safety answers with what the app and every SDK actually collect and share, including analytics, ads and crash reporting. Update the form so it matches the build.
- Review permissions and declarations. List the permissions in your manifest, including ones added by libraries. Remove any you do not need, and complete the permission declaration for sensitive ones the app truly needs for its core function.
- Fix the store listing. Check the title, short description, full description, screenshots and icon for claims the app does not support, keyword stuffing or references to other brands. Make them describe what the app actually does.
- Check the privacy policy link. Make sure the privacy policy URL in Play Console works, is publicly reachable without an account and describes the data the app handles.
- Release the fix to every track. Google asks you to upload the compliant version to every track, including internal, closed and open testing, and deactivate the non-compliant one. If a non-compliant version stays active, the resubmission fails.
- Appeal only with a clear case. If you believe the decision is a mistake, use the appeal option linked from Play Console and explain, with specifics, how the app meets the cited policy.
When a done-for-you pack helps
A done-for-you pack helps when the notice names a policy but not the exact problem, or several issues overlap. We map each point in your notice to the Play policy section, list the build, listing and declaration changes, flag what needs product work rather than a reply, and draft an appeal text where one fits, with a resubmission checklist for you to submit from your own Play Console.
No subscription and no extra fees. Delivered by email within 24 hours of your order. Covers one rejection notice for one app.

Questions
What is the difference between a rejection and a suspension on Play?
A rejection blocks a new app or update, and the previously published version stays live. Google says rejections do not affect your developer account standing. A suspension removes the app, and suspensions count as strikes against the account. Read the notice and the policy status page carefully, since the right next step and the risk to your account differ.
Can a library I use cause a rejection?
Yes. Third-party SDKs can add permissions to your merged manifest and collect data that must be declared in the Data safety form. Check the merged manifest in your build output and each SDK's documentation on data collection, then remove unused libraries or update your declarations so they match what the app actually does.
Should I appeal or fix and resubmit?
If the notice points to something the app really does, fixing and releasing a compliant version is usually faster than an appeal. Appeal when you have read the policy, believe the app complies, and can explain precisely why. Keep the appeal factual and specific to the cited policy and version.
